ORACLE QUEST TO BE FEATURED in the READING GROUP at LEAKY LOUNGE! posted by Lisa |19 April, 2008|7:17pm Come to the Leaky Cauldron and get ready to "Rediscover the Magic" starting May 15, 2008 at 9 a.m. Eastern time. That's when you'll need to be on Platform 9 3/4 for the Reading Group Express to catch a ride to the Inn. We'll Sort on arrival for the next reading! The Inn will be exploring Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone for its next book, but with a unique twist. It'll be our first exploration of that first journey to Hogwart's through the eyes of hindsight. So that's why we've chosen "Rediscover the Magic" as our theme. We want you to fall in love with Harry all over again, just like we have! In the Common Room of the Reading group, you'll have the chance do a Sidealong Reading of Oracle Quest, Book 1 in the Quest Series, written by our own Questauthor, Lisa Wright DeGroodt. Visit the "Purchase Books" section for information on the retailers that feature the Quest Books. If you are interested in the e-book version, your best bet is to order it from Iuniverse. You can also purchase the book through Leaky's Cauldron Shop! Most brick and mortar stores do not carry the book; but if you request it from Barnes and Noble they will order it for you. This can take some time, though, so be prepared for a wait! From the Lounge, here are some of the “frequently asked questions” about why Oracle Quest was chosen and how the process will work: 1) Is the Sidealong book mandatory for participation in the Reading Groups?
For more information, visit www.the-leaky-cauldron.org and visit the Lounge from their Interactive area. Note from Lisa: I am VERY proud to be a part of the Reading Group staff, and excited to start Oracle Quest as a read-along during the Sorcerer’s Stone reading. We’re going to have a GREAT time; come out and join the fun! Book Signing Event posted by Lisa |20 March, 2008|12:56pm As a reminder, Lisa will be appearing on April 5th at the book signing for the Desert Dreams Writers Conference in Arizona. The event will be held Saturday night from 5:30 to 7:00pm and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. A lot of really big name romance authors will be present selling their books as well. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello to Lisa… she’ll be selling and signing copies of Oracle Quest, Relic Quest and Barrier Quest! The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort & Hotel, located at One San Marcos Place in Chandler, Arizona.

Charm Quest has moved to final production posted by Lisa |1 February, 2008|7:32pm After a long wait (thanks for your patience!) Charm Quest has now moved into final production. This means it will be available within two weeks on the iUniverse website. From there, it will populate over to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. We’ll update the site with links once they go live, and keep you informed of all new details. The final book cover is WONDERFUL and we cannot wait to have the cover art displayed (it’s over at Quest Central, if you are interested in having an early look) When searching on iUniverse, Amazon or Barnes and Noble, search using either Lisa Wright DeGroodt or the book title, Charm Quest. We can also confirm that Land Quest, Book 5 of the Quest series is already with my editing team and is definitely on track for a spring 2008 release. Whew. Quest Central Makeover: Forum Edition posted by Addie|5 January, 2008|2:14am If you've been to Quest Central, then it's time for you to revisit! It's a great place to relax and have fun. So don't miss out. Also, be sure to head over to our media page to grab some Quest avatars. Keep an eye out for contests and more avatars in the future! Thanks!
Happy Holidays! posted by Lisa|11 December, 2007|8:12am I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very happy Holiday Season. Wishing you and yours the very best – Lisa Wright DeGroodt New Short Story on Quest Central posted by Lisa|20 November, 2007|6:42pm Well, it's the start of the holiday season, and just in time for the festivities, I've posted a brand new, never before published short story on the Quest Central Forum! The story is set after Oracle Quest and before Relic Quest so if you've started the series, you should be good to go as far as reading it! To see the short story, you will need to join the forum. Be sure to browse around, you never know when a Protector of the Land or their Sigot will pop into the boards for a chat or comment. Makes for some fun late nights, let me tell you! Enjoy the short story, and btw... Charm is going VERY well. I'm hoping to send it off within the next few weeks. Yeah! Be safe during this holiday season, and don't forget the charitable organizations in your area. Donate canned or non perishable goods, drop some coins in the red bucket, or give someone less fortunate a cup of coffee on a cold day. --Lisa create & buy custom products at Zazzle |
